Closing the Distance by AMSLizrah Closing the Distance by AMSLizrah
I just realized I didn't submit this one earlier. I am the champion, it is me. I'm not sure what to say about this, honestly. I'm proud of it, but I think I've come even farther with my coloring style since I finished this piece. This was the last illustration I ever did for an MCAD class. Fancy.

I think it's funny that I ended both of my senior years on a shameless Alphonse Mucha inspired note. Perhaps I'll have to make a tradition of it.

I think lilies are gorgeous and I love how many things they can symbolize. I need to quit it with the warm tones, though, I'm just getting them all over everything. Mmm, warm tones. <3

Love this reminds me of a saying I had once found in a religious book... "Is the sun very far from the smallest flower, when it depends on it every hour?"

Hey Arshe and Kall, how you doin'?
This is really nice. I like the floaty, I like the lack of horizon line...and the white space. Herp derp.

WHITE SPACE! :D I love white space, you love white space, it's all good. <3 I need to do more floaty stuff; that was a nice change of pace.

... oh good, I'm glad that when I looked and though, "Oh, that looks like Arshes...!" I wasn't off the mark. XD

You were totally on the mark. The mark was under your feet and you were standing triumphant upon it's fallen, looted corpse.

GIANT FLOWERS MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER AND TEACHERS THINK THEY'RE DEEP.

And it becomes abruptly less cute and more hilarious when her first action after reaching him is to pull him off of the flower by his feet.

And then all my nice delicate linework and symbolism collapses in a heap of adorable derpy shenanigans... You know, like the majority of my work. So many shenanigans...
